The McMaster University Department of Athletics and Recreation is thrilled to announce a new partnership with
TELUS, Canada's fastest-growing national telecommunications company.
TELUS has agreed to serve as the title sponsor of the
2018 U SPORTS Men's Volleyball Championship, being hosted at McMaster March 16-18, 2018.
"It is very exciting to have an outstanding corporate partner like
TELUS supporting Canadian university sports like the U SPORTS men's volleyball championship," said McMaster Director of Athletics and Recreation
Glen Grunwald. "That support will ensure McMaster Athletics is able to put on another top-flight event and that student-athletes from across Canada will have a great championship experience."
From March 16 to 18, 2018, the top eight men's volleyball teams will converge on Hamilton, looking to raise the
Tantramar Trophy, awarded to the national championship squad. The event will feature league champions from OUA, Atlantic University Sport, Canada-West and Quebec. McMaster gains automatic entry as the host institution. The remaining at-large berths will come from the OUA and Canada-West, and will be determined based on league playoff results. The tournament draw will be announced on Sunday, March 11, 2018, upon completion of all league playoffs.
All games will be played in McMaster's Burridge Gymnasium.
