Box Score A 40th minute goal from Victoria Hinchcliffe proved to be the difference on Friday, as the Guelph Gryphons edged the McMaster Marauders 1-0 and dealt Mac their first loss of the OUA season.

The Marauders (0-2-1) were held off the scoresheet for the first time in the young season, with six shots and four on goal in the loss. Veteran midfielder Jessie Faber led Mac with two shots of her own, while goalkeeper Cristina Abbatangelo stopped six of the seven shots she faced.

Friday's game was McMaster's only action of the weekend, as they will return home to Ron Joyce Stadium to battle the York Lions in a Wednesday night contest on September 7. That match gets underway at 6:00 p.m.
