Men's Volleyball: Marauders Cap Regular Season with Win in North Bay

Box Score Rebounding quickly from a four-set loss to the York Lions, McMaster's young players ended the regular season strongly on Saturday. The Marauders, once again playing without their starters, dealt the Nipissing Lakers a four-set defeat to finish the OUA season with an 18-2 record.

Set scores were 25-22, 25-19, 22-25 and 25-19 for the Marauders, who will now enjoy two weeks to train and recuperate from a long campaign before hosting the OUA Final Four on March 4 and 5 at the Burridge Gym.

Connor Santoni had a productive night, with a whopping 45 touches resulting in 20 kills to go along with two aces and a block for a match high of 23 points. The trio of Matt Passalent (13.5), Peter Khodkevych (13) and Craig Ireland (11.5) also reached double digits, while Calvin Lee notched 43 assists in the win.

McMaster held Nipissing's star outside hitter, Cameron Branch, to just 10 per cent hitting on the night, and kept the Lakers as a team to just 13 per cent.
