Box Score Mac's undefeated run to begin the OUA season came to a screeching halt Saturday, as the no. 3-ranked Marauders were swept by the no. 10 Western Mustangs in London.

Set scores were 25-21, 25-22 and 25-17 in favour of the Mustangs, who moved to 8-0 to conclude OUA play ahead of the holiday break. McMaster, meanwhile, fell to 7-1 with the loss and dropped to second in the OUA West standings.

Outside hitter Aja Gyimah led all scorers with 13 kills and 14 points for the Mustangs, while Maicee Sorensen was the Marauders leading scorer with 10 points in a losing effort.

Mac held leads at the technical timeout in both the first and second sets, but fell victim to superior execution from the hosts down the stretch on each occasion. In the face of the Mustangs defence, the Marauders offence sputtered, and the visitors managed only a .024 hitting average as a team.
