Men's Volleyball: Mac Rolls Ryerson For Sixth Straight Sweep

Box Score A team with the talent to challenge the Marauders, the Ryerson Rams proved unable to harness that potential on Sunday, becoming the latest team to fall victim to a McMaster sweep. Set scores were 25-19, 25-19 and 25-13 for the Marauders, who swept their sixth consecutive match and have won each of their last 19 sets.

The CIS no. 1-ranked Marauders continued their perfect start to the season, improving to an OUA-best 7-0 with the victory. Ryerson, meanwhile, dropped to 4-2 after the loss.

Once again, Stephen Maar was his team's leading offensive contributor, converting 11 of 19 hitting attempts versus just two errors (.474) and adding a block for 12 points, while Jayson McCarthy (10.5) and Danny Demyanenko (10) also reached double digits.

McMaster enjoyed an efficient offensive day, hitting .400 as a team, while holding Ryerson to just .070, with only three Rams touching a positive percentage.

Having swept their weekend in Toronto, the Marauders will return to the Burridge Gym this coming week to welcome the Western Mustangs and Windsor Lancers on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 respectively.
