Defender Sophia Ykema and striker Jessie Faber had the goals for the visitors, who improved to 6-5-3 on the season with the result. Guelph, meanwhile, falls to 6-8 and sits three points behind McMaster with two games to play.

After an evenly-played opening half, the Marauders began to exert their control in the second, and their efforts paid dividends in the 77th minute, when Ykema opened the scoring. Five minutes later, Faber put the game beyond doubt, doubling her team's lead with just eight minutes of regulation to be played.

McMaster travels to Waterloo on Sunday to play the penultimate game of their regular season against the Laurier Golden Hawks. That game will get underway at 1:00 p.m.
