The Marauders conceded early and often on Wednesday, dropping a 5-0 decision to the Brock Badgers in St. Catharines.
It was the second consecutive defeat for the Marauders (3-6-1), and the fourth in the team's past five games. McMaster remains sixth in the OUA West division standings with the result.
Five different players scored for the Badgers (4-8), who returned to the win column after consecutive losses.
Shaniqua De Gannes opened the scoring for the Badgers in the 9th minute, and Megan Salisbury doubled the home side's lead just two minutes later. Brooke Boekestyn and Ja'mill Millar added goals before the break, as Brock took a commanding 4-0 lead into the dressing room.
That proved to be more than enough for the Badgers on Wednesday, as Kelly Miller scored a fifth a minute before second half stoppage time to put an exclamation point on the result.
The Marauders will return home this weekend for their final home stand of the regular season, as they welcome the Laurier Golden Hawks and York Lions to Ron Joyce Stadium on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 respectively. Those matches are both slated to get underway at 1:00 p.m.Â
