The Marauder women's soccer team battled back to snatch a point on Sunday, after second-year forward Stephanie Davis potted her first goal of the season in the 63rd minute to bring McMaster level with Brock at 1-1. The result moved the Marauders record to 1-1-2 on the season, and completed a four-point roadtrip for the visitors after their victory over the Warriors in Waterloo on Saturday.
Nadia Bathish opened the score for the Badgers in the 19th minute, and the home side held sway until the half was up. But the Marauders carved out a chance in the second, and Davis proved opportunistic in levelling the match. From there, McMaster's typically stout defence took over, and the Marauders took home another well-earned point on the road.
McMaster finds itself in the middle of the OUA West table through four matches, and will have the opportunity to make up ground on the division leaders when they return to action at Ron Joyce Stadium on Friday, September 13. The Marauders will host the York Lions, with kickoff slated for 5:00 p.m.
