Box Score The McMaster men’s volleyball team defended homecourt on Saturday night with an impressive 3-0 sweep of the visiting York Lions.

The Marauders took the match by set scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-20 as the OUA season got underway.  McMaster was ranked fourth in the first CIS top-ten rankings releasing earlier in the week.

Mac setter Austin Campion-Smith did a great job of spreading the ball around and making it tough on York to defend, finishing with 36 assists for the match. 

Freshman middle Dany Demyanenko had 10 kills to lead the Marauders, while Kevin Stevens, Jori Mantha and Alex Elliot all finished with 8 kills, showing a balanced attack for Mac.  Stevens also chipped in with two service aces.

The Marauders take on their arch-rivals from Queen’s in their next match on Friday, October 26^th at home.  The match is set to start at 7 p.m. in the Burridge Gym.
