Buckle provided the perfect final word on a decorated career in the OUA on Saturday, winning his fifth conference title in his fifth and final year as a Marauder. The former CIS Rookie of the Year and reigning OUA Outstanding Male Wrestler defended the latter title, racing through the competition at 61kg before defeating final opponent Mizam Tamaradze of the CIS no. 1-ranked Brock Badgers 10-0 in just a minute.

Buckle’s was one of three gold medal performances for the CIS no. 2-ranked Marauder men, who won OUA silver and qualified wrestlers in nine of the 11 available weight classes at the CIS Championships.
