Bald closed his OUA career this past weekend the way he opened it: with dominance of the breaststroke. The fifth-year senior starred in his final OUA Championship meet as the McMaster men took home team bronze on Saturday, accomplishing five podium swims over the course of the three-day event. After winning bronze as part of the 200m freestyle relay team on Thursday, Bald added a pair of silver medals to his tally the following night by placing second in the 100m breaststroke and as part of the 400m medley relay team. He closed strongly on Saturday, winning gold for the fourth time in his OUA career in the 50m breaststroke event, before grabbing silver as part of the 200m medley relay team.

In recognition of his illustrious varsity career, Bald was honoured with the OUA Award of Distinction alongside fellow Marauder seniors Ben Stubbs and Eric Anderson.
