Nelles captained the CIS no. 2-ranked Marauders to a 24-10 semifinal win over the Western Mustangs, clinching a home date in the OUA Championship and a berth in the CIS Championship tournament in the process. The eight man was her team's leading scorer with 10 points from two tries, and coordinated a suffocating Marauder defence that held Western to just a single try and matched the Mustangs lowest point total of the season.
