Kaylee Jeon (Mississauga, Ont.) and Football's
Michael Horvat Christian Chukwuali II (Hamilton, Ont.) have been crowned this week's TwelvEighty Athletes of the Week following standout performances over Homecoming weekend.
Kaylee Jeon (Mississauga, Ont.)
Kaylee Jeon delivered a standout performance for the McMaster Marauders at the 2026 Brock Invitational, finishing third overall in the women's individual standings at Sawmill Golf Course.
Jeon carded a round of 77, finishing just two strokes behind tournament champion Mia Wong of Toronto, who shot a 75, and one stroke back of Guelph's Jacqueline Giles at 76. Her result made her the top McMaster finisher at the event and placed her three strokes clear of the next competitor.
Jeon's strong round also helped lead McMaster to a second-place team finish. The Marauders combined for a team score of 247, trailing only Guelph's winning total of 242 while finishing seven strokes ahead of third-place Toronto at 254. McMaster teammates Shanya Christian and
Jimin Kim added rounds of 85 and 87, respectively.
Jeon's top-three finish highlighted a strong showing for the Marauders at the Brock Invitational.
Christian Chukwuali II (Hamilton, Ont.)
Christian Chukwuali II delivered a standout performance for the McMaster Marauders in Saturday's 18-16 Homecoming victory over the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks at Ron Joyce Stadium.
Chukwuali was a constant presence in Laurier's backfield, finishing with four solo tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks for six yards and one pass breakup. His two sacks accounted for half of McMaster's four on the afternoon.
The defensive lineman made an impact immediately, recording a sack on Laurier's opening possession to help force a punt. He struck again in the fourth quarter, dropping quarterback Will Russell for a five-yard loss as the Marauders continued to pressure the Golden Hawks late in the game.
Chukwuali also broke up a pass near the goal line in the fourth quarter. With his two sacks Saturday, Chukwuali increased his season total to six, currently leading the OUA, while helping McMaster remain undefeated with the Homecoming victory.
