David Harris (Thunder Bay, Ont.) have been crowned this week's Marauder Athletes of the Week for their excellent showings over the weekend.
Tayler Scott - (Burlington, Ont.)
Tayler Scott delivered a standout weekend for the Marauders, anchoring the team with two strong all-around performances against Ottawa and Carleton. On Friday night versus Ottawa, Scott was dominant in the paint, pouring in a game-high 31 points in 35 minutes. She shot an efficient 10-for-15 from the field and lived at the free-throw line, converting 11 of 15 attempts. Scott also controlled the glass with 15 total rebounds, including six offensive boards, while adding three steals and two blocks in a commanding outing.
She followed up with a gritty effort on Saturday against Carleton, contributing eight points in 20 minutes on 3-for-10 shooting. Scott remained impactful defensively, pulling down nine rebounds, recording four blocks, and adding two steals. Across the weekend, she totaled 39 points and 24 rebounds, showcasing her physical presence, consistency, and two-way impact for the Marauders.
David Harris - (Thunder Bay, Ont.)
David Harris delivered a dominant performance at the 2026 Mono Nordic Race, capturing first place in the Men's Open Free (1996–2005) event and continuing his strong season as the Marauders' captain. Harris crossed the line in a winning time of 21:12.5, pulling clear of the field and showcasing his strength and efficiency on the course. He finished more than 40 seconds ahead of the runner-up, who clocked in at 21:53.3, underlining the decisive nature of his victory.
Leading by example, Harris set the tone from the early stages and maintained his pace through the closing kilometres to secure top spot. His result not only highlighted his fitness and race strategy but also reflected his leadership role within the program, providing momentum as the Marauders head to the OUA Championships in a few weeks.
