The McMaster Marauders showed flashes on offense but ultimately fell 29–13 to the Windsor Lancers on Saturday. After a strong drive down the field in the 2nd quarter,
Michael Horvat (Hamilton, Ont.) got the Marauders on the board first with a field goal. The Marauder offense came alive in the third with Horvat hitting a 37 yard kick and Quarterback
Luke Thalman (Winnipeg, Man.) using his legs to rush in and score a touch down for the Marauders. Windsor would take control again in the 4th quarter, to seal the victory over the Marauders.
Thalman led the way with 166 passing yards and 69 rushing yards. Receiver
Everett Reid (Winnipeg, Man.) was his top target, hauling in six catches for 63 yards. On the ground, Micah DuChene (Brantford, Ont.) added 42 rushing yards. Defensively,
Aaron Lavers (Wasaga Beach, Ont.) anchored the unit with a team-high 7.5 tackles, while

Women's Soccer
September 12 - L: 0-1 vs Western
The McMaster Marauders (0-1-1) developed several offensive chances against the Western Mustangs (1-0-1), but came up short in a 0-1 loss on Friday night at Ron Joyce Stadium. Ali Mudie (Burlington, Ont.) answered Western's early pressure with a few sharp saves, but the Mustangs managed to find the net off a missed free kick that hit the post, sneaking a goal in moments before half. Jade Abreo (Mississauga, Ont.) kept Western's keeper on edge with several close free-kick attempts. Ravina Braich (Oakville, Ont.) and Haley Chalmers (Delaware, Ont.) kept the pressure on with persistent attacks, driving the ball into the box all half. Backed by solid defending from Emma Fluit (London, Ont.) and a determined offensive push, the Marauders pressed hard in the second half but couldn't complete the comeback in the end.
September 14 - L: 1-4 @ Guelph
The McMaster Marauders (0-3-1) travelled to the Gryphon Soccer Complex to face the Guelph Gryphons (5-0-1) but couldn't close the gap in a 1-4 loss on Sunday. An early goal gave the Gryphons momentum, but Ali Mudie (Burlington, Ont.) battled back with seven strong saves in the first half to hold the line. The Marauders came out firing after halftime, with Katelyn Yip (Markham, Ont.) and Jade Abreo (Mississauga, Ont.) taking back-to-back shots, but the Gryphons' keeper held firm. Pushing forward into the box, Emma Fluit (London, Ont.) set up Sara Vogel (Calgary, Alta.) to score McMaster's first goal and even the match. Minutes later, Guelph struck again to retake the lead at 1-2. Jade Abreo (Mississauga, Ont.) took a corner kick that created a chance for McMaster, but the attack fell short. Guelph scored their third on a penalty kick, and despite Ali Mudie (Burlington, Ont.) making four second-half saves, the Gryphons managed one more goal before the final whistle, giving McMaster the loss.

Men's Soccer
September 12- W: 2-0 vs Western
The McMaster Marauders (0-1-1) claimed their first victory of the season with a strong 2-0 performance over the Western Mustangs (0-0-2). The Mustangs kept the pressure on in the first half, but LeShawn Facey (Mississauga, Ont.) was a wall, denying them any clear paths to the net. Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, a corner kick by Hamza Khan (Milton, Ont.) gave an open opportunity to Mohamed Alshakman (Hamilton, Ont.) to assist Baryal Khan (Hamilton, Ont.) in making the first goal of the season. Western pushed to tie things up, but Ethan Cagalj (Stoney Creek, Ont.) stood tall in net with three key saves, keeping McMaster ahead. Montther Mohsen (Ottawa, Ont.) turned the tide, breaking up the attack and finding Amir Shirazi (Oakville, Ont.), who sealed the win with a late second goal.

Amir Shirazi (Oakville, Ont.) drove into the box and set up AJ Robichaud (Burlington, Ont.) to give McMaster the lead with the team's second goal.
