Ares Culley-Bremner (Hamilton, Ont.) have been crowned this week's Marauder Athletes of the Week for their excellent showings over the weekend.
Maddy Lutes - (Barrie, Ont.)
Maddy Lutes earns Athlete of the Week recognition after an outstanding back-to-back performance against Western. In Friday's four-set win, she powered the offense with 12 kills while adding 21 digs and two aces, finishing with 15.5 points. She remained a force the following day, posting 13 kills on an efficient .233 hitting percentage and contributing nine digs, an ace, and three total blocks for 16 points. Across the weekend, Lutes recorded 25 kills, 30 digs, and five total blocks, showcasing her all-around impact. Her consistency, intensity, and ability to elevate in key moments anchored the Marauders throughout the series.
Ares Culley-Bremner - (Hamilton, Ont.)
Ares Culley-Bremner delivered a standout weekend to earn Athlete of the Week honours. The forward dominated on both ends of the floor, opening with an 18-point, 15-rebound performance against Western, shooting an impressive 72.7% while adding five blocks and two steals. He followed it up with another efficient outing versus Windsor, scoring 13 points on 83.3% shooting and grabbing five rebounds. Across the two games, Culley-Bremner posted 31 points on remarkable efficiency, pulled down 20 total rebounds, and showcased his defensive presence with nine blocks and three steals. His consistency, impact, and two-way excellence powered his team throughout the weekend.
