OUA honours for Shirazi, Alshakman and Khan

HAMILTON, Ont. – McMaster's men's soccer players Amir Shirazi (Oakville, Ont.), Mohamed Alshakman (Hamilton, Ont.), and Barry Khan (Hamilton, Ont.) were named OUA All-Stars on Thursday afternoon as the 2025 major awards and all-stars were announced. 

Amir Shirazi (Oakville, Ont.) – First Team All-Star
Striker

McMaster striker Amir Shirazi earned OUA All-Star honours following a standout 2025 season with the Marauders. Starting all 12 games, Shirazi was a consistent offensive threat, combining technical skill, pace, and finishing ability to lead McMaster's attack. He finished the season with 8 goals (5th in the OUA), 1 assist, and 9 total points (7th), while registering 22 shots with a .364 shooting percentage. Shirazi was perfect from the penalty spot, converting 2-of-2 penalty kicks, and his ability to find space and create opportunities made him a key contributor in every match.
Shirazi's consistency, composure, and scoring touch helped drive McMaster's offense all season, earning him recognition as one of the OUA's top forwards.

Mohamed Alshakman (Hamilton, Ont.) – First Team All-Star
Midfielder

McMaster midfielder Mohammed Alshakman earned OUA All-Star recognition after a successful 2025 season with the Marauders. Starting 10 of 11 games, Alshakman was a key contributor in the midfield, providing vision, creativity, and consistency to McMaster's attack. He finished the season with 4 assists (6th in the OUA) demonstrating his ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates. Alshakman's work ethic, technical ability, and composure on the ball made him a vital part of McMaster's midfield, proving his role as a central playmaker for the Marauders.

 Barry Khan (Hamilton, Ont.) – Second Team All-Star
Defender

McMaster defender Barry Khan earned OUA All-Star recognition following a strong 2025 season with the Marauders. Starting all 11 games, Khan was a key presence in the back line, anchoring McMaster's defense and providing stability throughout the season. While primarily focused on defense, Khan contributed offensively with 1 goal and a game-winning goal, showing his ability to step up in critical moments. He also recorded 4 shots illustrating his versatility. Khan's defensive intelligence, leadership, and consistent play helped McMaster maintain structure and composure on the field, earning him well-deserved recognition as one of the OUA's top defenders.
