HAMILTON, Ont. – McMaster's women's soccer players Jade Abreo (Mississauga, Ont.), and Nicole Astaiza (London, Ont.) were named OUA All-Stars on Wednesday afternoon as the 2025 major awards and all-stars were announced. McMaster rookie Shalagh Guha (Waterloo, Ont.) also received all star honours as well as being named OUA Rookie of the Year.
Jade Abreo (Mississauga, Ont.) – First Team All-Star
Midfielder
McMaster's dynamic midfielder Jade Abreo capped off an outstanding 2025 season by being named an OUA First Team All-Star, solidifying her place among the conference's elite. A consistent offensive threat and creative playmaker, Abreo started all 12 games for the Marauders, finishing among the OUA leaders in multiple categories. She tallied 5 goals, and 4 assists for 9 total points, ranking 8th overall in conference scoring. Her ability to deliver in clutch moments was evident with 2 game-winning goals and a perfect 1-for-1 mark on penalty kicks. Generating 22 shots across the season, Abreo's precision and vision were key in driving McMaster's attack.
Nicole Astaiza (London, Ont.) – Second Team All-Star

McMaster striker Nicole Astaiza capped off an impressive 2025 season by being named an OUA Second Team All-Star, recognizing her as one of the conference's most reliable and dynamic forwards. Astaiza started 9 of 10 games for the Marauders, playing a pivotal role in the team's attack. Known for her pace, creativity, and ability to generate scoring opportunities, she tallied 3 assists, consistently linking up play in key moments and setting up key goals throughout the season. Astaiza's relentless work effort, and ability to create space and scoring chances for her teammates allowed McMaster to remain a offensive threat throughout the season.
Shalagh Guha (Waterloo, Ont.) – Rookie of the Year, First Team All-Star
