WATERLOO, Ont. — On Friday, the 10th national ranked Marauders (5-1-1) managed to secure their fifth win of the season against the Laurier Golden Hawks (4-2-1) in Waterloo.
Ethan Cagalj (Stoney Creek, Ont.) got another start in net for the Marauders. Cagalj helped the Marauders secure yet another shutout win, beating the Golden Hawks 2-0.
Both McMaster goals would come from Karl Espiro (Burlington, Ont.). Espiro first found the back of the net right before half, and then again in the 68th minute. Mohamed Alshakman (Hamilton, Ont.) and Amir Shirazi (Oakville, Ont.) assisted Espiro's goals respectively.
The Marauders put pressure on the Laurier defense throughout the match, recording 5 shots on goal.
Next Up: The Marauders face Algoma (1-2-4) in a double-header September 28th and 29th at home. The Marauder men have a 16-1 record against Algoma dating back to 2014.
They look to expand their current win streak against Algoma to six.
