'24 OUA football schedule announced, Marauders to open season Aug. 24 at home

HAMILTON, Ont. - Ontario University Athletics (OUA) announced its complete 2024 football schedule Wednesday with McMaster's slate highlighted by the Marauders first regular season game Aug. 24 at home against the Laurier Golden Hawks, with a total of four games to be played at Ron Joyce Stadium. 

McMaster's schedule also includes home dates against Toronto (Sept. 7), Western (Oct. 5) in a showdown of the last two programs to hoist the Yates Cup, and York (Oct. 19). Five of the team's eight games will take place under the lights, including two 7 p.m. starts in Hamilton.

A four-game road schedule will kick off at Queen's (Aug. 31), with trips to Guelph (Sept. 14) for the Battle of Highway 6, Carleton (Sept. 21) and Waterloo (Oct. 11) to follow.

As McMaster looks to bounce back into contending form, head coach Stefan Ptaszek (85-44 overall) and his team are focused on reclaiming their spot among the OUA's elite.
