Toronto, Ont. — The McMaster Marauders women's and men's wrestling teams participated at the York Open hosted on Saturday. McMaster was one of 38 teams across Canada performing at the event. Nine Marauder athletes entered the event. The Marauders placed 8th overall, with a score of 22.
The Marauders' women earned two medals on the day and 12 points for the Marauders.
Senuki Desanayaka (Brampton, Ont.) added her third medal of the year. After falling in her second match of the day, Desanayaka battled back and earned the bronze medal in the 56kg class.
Megann Nkenglack (Barrie, Ont.) had another impressive outing in the 83kg class. This time, she won two out three matches, as she took home the silver medal.
Isabella Strong's (Barrie, Ont.) fifth place finish along with
Prisha Limbachiya's (India) sixth place finish added additional points to the Marauders score.
The Marauders' men earned one medal and came away with 10 points on the day.

th-year Marauder,
Sarpartap Lally (Brampton, Ont.), continued his solid season with a second-place finish, adding seven points for McMaster. The economics major won three out of four matches before his loss due to an injury.
Max Foster's fourth place finish in the 82kg class added an additional three points to the Marauders score.
Next up, the Marauders will participate in the UofT Open on November 30
th.
