Yeung and Ranchagoda receive the Marauder Athlete of the Week honor

HAMILTON, Ont. — Championships, playoffs, and final regular season matches are upon us. McMaster's Yeung and Ranchagoda have proven to be clutch and are experts at stepping up to the plate when it matters most. That is why they have been named your Marauder Athletes of the Week.

Women's Tennis- Audrey Yeung (Aurora, Ont.)
The fourth-year mechanical and biomedical engineering student was a force to be reckoned with during the regular season. In the words of Women's Tennis Head Coach, Meghan Mazer, Yeung "pulled off an unbelievable line two single win" against Western on Sunday afternoon. Yeung was defeated in the first set by a score of 4-6. She then clawed back, securing a 6-4 set two victory and took the tie braking set, 10-7. McMaster's tennis program heads to Markham, Ont. this weekend to compete in the OUA Tennis Championships.

Men's Golf- Kavith Ranchagoda (Richmond Hill, Ont.)
Ranchagoda was named an OUA first-team all-star after his sweet performance at the OUA Golf Championships in Windsor, Ont. last weekend. Ranchagoda tied for an individual silver medal. He was one of five golfers to shoot under par in the first round (69) and stood at third place after day one. Ranchagoda shot a 74 during round two, good for second place in the province.
