HAMILTON, Ont. - Wednesday night saw McMaster host its annual 'Think Pink' game in support of the fight against breast cancer. The women's basketball program has tied its event into the 17th U SPORTS Shoot for the Cure campaign, which aims to support the Canadian Cancer Society and other local and provincial charities.
On the court, the Marauders took on the Guelph Gryphons but dropped the contest 65-54.

Jenna Button led all scorers with 18 and 9 rebounds.
Cassie Joli-Coeur joined Button in double digit scoring with 11 points of her own, to go along with 9 boards.
U SPORTS proudly announced its women's basketball membership raised $107,496.12 as part of the campaign held across the country January 17-28, 2024. McMaster's Think Pink game contributed more than $2,200 in the effort.
A total of was $82,523.05 raised in support of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), while $24,973.07 additional funds will go towards various local and provincial organizations. This brings the cumulative amount fundraised to $1,973,153.29 since the initiative launched in 2007 to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.
