The McMaster Marauders returned to Ron Joyce Stadium facing the Brock Badgers, in a scoreless draw.
The Marauders were pressing and taking their shots in the first half, putting 5 on net - Ali Mudie made some great stops, as the Badgers put up a respective 5. Both squads came out tenacious, which translated into 8 fouls for Brock and 4 for McMaster. The 45 minutes wrapped with a scoreless sheet.
Heading into the second half, the Marauders kept trying to break the score. Lindsey Barwitzki was on the blunt end of the Badgers' fire multiple times but held her own. With Jade Abreo sending Barwitzi up the line, the two generated good chances. In the 50th minute, Barwitzki made a run and give to Emilie Calabrese, who had a shot slightly over the crossbar. In the 82minute, Ron Joyce witnessed a textbook play with Bryanna Caldwell lobbing the ball into Abreo, who sent it to Georgia Merriman in the 16, which met the hands of Brock's keeper.
The backline dynamic duo of Caldwell and Sara Vogel also created a challenge for the Badgers to break.
The matchup came to a close with a 0-0 draw.
