HAMILTON - The McMaster Marauders men's soccer beat the Brock Badgers 1-0 to grab their second straight weekend split of the season on Sunday afternoon at Ron Joyce Stadium.
In a physical contest between the two rivals, seven yellow cards were issued throughout the 90 minutes of play.
McMaster scored on its first shot of the game.
Cristian Alfieri made his mark on the game by scoring off a corner from
Amir Shirazi.
The Badgers outshot the Marauders 10-8 but were unable to get one past McMaster goalie
Ethan Cagalj, who finished the game with seven saves and the shutout.

Jordan Baker finished the game with one shot on goal apiece.

McMaster will make the long trip to Sault Ste. Marie for a Sunday match-up with the Algoma Thunderbirds at 3:15pm on September 17.
