BURLINGTON, Ont. – After finishing the regular season with a 12-10 record, the Marauders qualified for the OUA playoffs for the eleventh straight season.
The OUA revealed the 2022-23 All-Stars for men's basketball on Thursday and two Marauders received recognition. A Scarborough local,
Khalil Miller is the OUA Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year. Senior guard,
Mychael Paulo, was also named a Third Team-All Star.

In his first year wearing the maroon and grey,
Khalil Miller was absolutely dominant on the defensive side of the ball. A veteran forward in his fourth-year of eligibility, Miller averaged 1.18 steals per game and 7.09 defensive rebounds per game. Over the course of the 22 game regular season, the humanities student recorded 156 total defensive rebounds, ranking him fourth in the OUA and sixth nationally. He was also the conference leader in blocks with 54 (2nd in U SPORTS). The senior has been nothing short of impressive in his first and final season wearing the Marauder jersey. After a year away from basketball, the 2018 CCAA All-Canadian and OCAA East Division Defensive Player of the Year, came into the season ready to go and was, without question, the defensive cornerstone of the McMaster squad.
Miller will now represent Ontario as the OUA nomination for the U SPORTS Defensive Player of the Year. Winners will be announced at the U SPORTS Awards Ceremony in Halifax, N.S. on Mar. 9.

A senior guard from Brampton, Ont.,
Mychael Paulo has had a strong season for the maroon and grey. Averaging 44% from the field and 13.5 points per game, Paulo has scored 296 points for the Marauders this season.
The sociology student averages 3.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game, and has recorded 30 steals, 10 blocks and 71 assists.
Paulo had a season high 25 points at both Carleton on November 5 and Windsor on on February 4. He scored in double digits fifteen times this season.
