HAMILTON, Ont. -
The McMaster men's basketball team dropped the visiting Waterloo Warriors 83-64 Friday night at Burridge Gymnasium.
With the win, the Marauders' record improved to 11-10 with just one game remaining in the regular season.
After the Warriors jumped out to a four-point lead in the first quarter, McMaster stormed back to take an eight-point lead into the halftime break. The Marauders extended their lead to 13 points after three quarters and picked up a 19-point win over Waterloo.
Five Marauders scored in double digits in the win with
Mychael Paulo (Brampton, Ont.) pouring in a team-high 16 points while
Brendan Amoyaw (Winnipeg, Man.) added 13 points.
Mike Demagus (Scarborough, Ont.) contributed 12 while
AY Osunde (Scarborough, Ont.) and
Khalil Miller (Scarborough, Ont.) each tallied 10. Miller recorded the game's only double-double, pulling down 11 rebounds in the win.
The McMaster defense came up big in the win as well, with 21 points off turnovers and five blocks.
