Marauders drop in Badgers' comeback

The McMaster Marauders found themselves on the other side of the Brock Badgers' comeback with a final score of 82-73.

Sophia Urosevic scored 19 points, in her 20 minutes, to lead the Marauders, Jenna button had 18 with nine rebounds and four assists. Cassie Joli-Coeur also added 10 points.

For the Badgers, Oluwatito Akinnusi had 37 points, and Madalyn Weinert had 25. Collectively, the two put up 75.6% of their squads' points.

The Marauders were elevated by their bench who were responsible for 41 points, while the Badgers only had 7 bench points. Propelling their chance on threes, McMaster was 10 of 31 from the arch, where Brock went 4 for 17.

After their last huge game, the Badgers craved more. However, were struggling against the first-half Marauders. The first two quarters brought a strong 48.6% from the field for the Marauders, which built them a cushion of 42-38.

The third quarter opened with both teams exchanging 4-0 point runs, starting with the home team and then returning went the Marauders and wrapped with Brock outscoring McMaster 26-24.

Marauders struggled to get going in the fourth and it didn't take long for the Badgers to respond. Brock developed an 11-point lead, which wasn't only their largest of the game, but from either team.

The Badgers trailed by two points heading into the final quarter but opened the fourth with part of a 17-1 run that stretched back into the third quarter. To stop the bleeding run, Urosevic landed the 3-pointer.

Of the 12 opportunities at the line, the Marauders missed easy points only putting down 7.

Brock drew in fouls and snuck steals, which set them apart in their victory this evening.
