Demagus went on to score a game-high 24 points. Moody Qasim (16), Daniel Graham (12) and AY Osunde (10) also hit the double-digit mark in points.
What started as looking unfavourable for the Marauders, turned to a clawing comeback.
Following a tight first quarter with only three points separating the two sides at 21-18 for the Mustangs. Western took the lead further in the second, capitalizing on the seven free throws to the Marauders zero. The Mustangs got as far as 10 points ahead when they led 40-30 returning into the second half, but the storyline would change.
The Marauders went on a tear in the third and fourth. Increasing their field goal to 57.1%, the Marauders outshot, outscored, and outrebounded the Mustangs in the third. With the Marauders going 5-0 for blocks, they refused to give in to Western's plays.
Jumping into the quarter, McMaster found the early lead and their way on top, at 60-62. for the last 8 minutes of the game, the marauders kept stretching the lead. "we're here!" said Demagus after Qasim found a corner three, to hand the men in maroon their largest lead of the game, making it close to over for Western. 72-60 for McMaster with only 2:43 remaining.
With 13.9 seconds, Mike Demagus was fouled, sinking both McMaster's 8-point lead, with the score sitting 78-70. the marauders dribbled the game to a close from there.

With Burridge Gymnasium holding undefeated teams, the Marauders will rematch the TMU Bold on Wednesday, November 22nd at 8 pm.
