McMaster and Laurier will meet for the first and only time this weekend for the first time since March of 2022. The two squads split those two match-ups with the Golden Hawks earning an 87-82 win on Wednesday night before the Marauders evened the series three days later with a 75-70 final scoreline. This year's meeting will be highly-contested with both teams sharing the same 9-6 record in OUA competition. Laurier sits second in the OUA West while McMaster ranks fifth in the OUA Central. The Golden Hawks have had an up-and-down year, beating the likes of the Ottawa Gee-Gees (the nation's top-ranked team) and the Western Mustangs while also falling to the Lakehead Thunderwolves and TMU Bold. Three of Laurier's losses this season have been by single digits, showcasing that they are there to compete in almost every game they play. The Golden Hawks are coming off a 26-point victory over the York Lions last weekend and will look to improve their road record this Friday.

The McMaster Marauders are in search of another win to cap off their home stand before preparing for a long stretch of road games that will see the maroon and grey face the likes of the Western Mustangs, Windsor Lancers, Toronto Varsity Blues and TMU Bold over the next two weeks.
