BURLINGTON, Ont. – After closing out the McMaster football season, three Marauders were recognized as OUA All-Stars on Wednesday afternoon for their performances this season.

Andreas Dueck (Winnipeg, Man.), DeEmetrius Masuka (Hamilton, Ont.), and Mitch Price (Caledon, Ont.) were announced as Second Team All-Stars by the OUA.

Dueck, a fifth-year studying commerce who hails from Winnipeg, Man., played in each of the Marauders' eight games this season. A veteran quarterback, Dueck led the OUA in passing—and was ranked ninth nationally— with an average of 237.3 yards per game and a regular-season total of 1898 yards. He also threw for seven passing touchdowns. Dueck's completions (170) topped the OUA and he ranked third in the nation with a 67.7% completion rate as well. The 6'2", 210lb quarterback had 1000+ passing yards in the past three consecutive seasons.

A third-year kinesiology student, DeEmetrius Masuka (Hamilton, Ont.) led the Marauders in total tackles (31.5), solo tackles (27), and tackles per game (3.9). He recorded three interceptions, ranking him third in the conference, and added three pass breakups during the regular season. Masuka also had one tackle for a loss of two yards. A 6'2", 220lb defensive back from Hamilton, Ont., he played in all eight regular-season games for the Marauders.

A third-year social sciences student, Mitch Price (Caledon, Ont.) started all eight regular season games at defensive tackle for the Marauders. The 6'1" tackle from Caledon, Ont. anchored a defensive line that helped McMaster post #3 national rankings in passing yards per game allowed (167.1) and #4 in yards per game allowed (281.1). Mitch Price was also key to the Marauders' league leading 12 defensive interceptions, forcing the opposition to distribute the ball under pressure. 
 
The Marauders will now turn to preparations for the 2023 campaign.
