BILL MAHONEY, MARAUDER HALL OF FAMER PASSES AT 82

LONDON, Ont. - The McMaster Marauder community is saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Mahoney at the age of 82.

A member of the McMaster Sports Hall of Fame ('93), Bill helped McMaster win the inaugural CIAU Hockey title in 1963 and was named the tournament MVP. He coached the McMaster University hockey program from 1964 to 1980 and was named OUAA and CIAU Coach of the Year in 1979. Mahoney left McMaster to join the National Hockey League where he coached with both the Washington Capitals and Minnesota North Stars.

He was best known and loved for both his commanding personality and spirited character. Bill made sure his loyalty and love for his friends and family were always his greatest priorities.

The entire McMaster community offers its deepest condolences to Bill's family, friends and loved ones.
