PREVIEW: MARAUDERS TO PLAY GUELPH IN TWO-GAME SERIES

The McMaster Marauders men's basketball team will face the Guelph Gryphons back-to-back this week.
 
Taking to the road first, the Marauders will play the Gryphons in Guelph before heading back to the Burridge Gym to play them again at home.
 
The Marauders are coming off a weekend series in which they welcomed the Lakehead Thunderwolves in Hamilton.
 
In the season opener on Friday night, the Marauders fell to the Thunderwolves in a very close 84-83 game.
 
However, McMaster came into the second game on Saturday with determination and beat Lakehead 91-80.
 
Now 1-1 in the season, the Marauders look to win their first game on the road in Guelph.

History:
The Marauders last faced Guelph in the 2019-2020 regular season. McMaster came away with an impressive 95-75 win over the Gryphons, but that would be the only time that the teams would match up that season.
 
Before the last season played, McMaster faced Guelph in the first round of the 2018 OUA playoffs. In a tight game, the Marauders fought hard against the Gryphons, winning 78-75, and moved on to the OUA quarterfinals.

Jordan Henry: Henry is McMaster's leading scorer with 60 points so far this season, averaging 30 points per game. He also has the most 3-pointers made for his team with nine.
 
Mike Demagus: In the Marauders' end, Demagus has been on fire. He currently has 13 defensive rebounds recorded, averaging 7.5 rebounds per game, including offensive and defensive.

Rasheed Weekes: Weekes currently has 38 points this season, the most for his team. He has also recorded not only the most 3-point attempts (16), but also the most 3-pointers made (5).
