With the Canadian Football League (CFL) draft slowly approaching, eight Marauders from the McMaster football team have been selected to take part in regional and national combines within the coming weeks.
Participating in the Ontario Regional Combine are
Mitchell Garland (DB),
Mitchell Lyons (DL),
Tyson Middlemost (REC),
Adam Preocanin (K/P), and
Xander Tachinski (REC). The five, along with some of the nation's best, will convene in Toronto on March 12th in hopes of earning a spot at the CFL Combine a few weeks later.
Three Marauders have already received select invites to the big stage with
Noah Hallet (DB),
Nolan Putt (DB), and
Jakub Szott (OL) already committed to the national combine set for March 26-28, with each athlete selected at regionals reconvening in Toronto.
The CFL draft takes place on April 30th, as 73 Canadians are scheduled to be selected from U SPORTS and NCAA affiliated teams - the Calgary Stampeders hold the first pick of the draft.
