Women's Soccer: Marauders Held Goalless in London to Draw 0-0 with Mustangs

McMaster went without a goal for the fourth time this season

Facing Western for the second time in 2019, McMaster once again battled their way through a defensive match Friday, ultimately coming away from London with a point.

The Marauders had five shots, directing two at Mustangs goalkeeper Megan Girardi, but were held without a goal in a 0-0 draw and moved to 3-3-1 on the season.

Mac keeper Julianna Hifawi stopped all eight shots she faced to keep her second consecutive clean sheet, while striker Lindsay Bosveld and midfielder Talia Merino-Sierra each forced a save from Girardi.

Earning their 10th point on the year, the Marauders temporarily took sole possession of fourth in the OUA West division standings. However, McMaster was also held without a goal for the fourth time in 2019.

NEXT UP: The Marauders return home on Wednesday, October 2 to play host to the York Lions in a 6:00 p.m. match at Ron Joyce Stadium.
