McMaster held the Trent Excalibur off the board in the first half, but a second half comeback ended the Marauders season in the quarterfinals.
The Marauders posted 13 points in the opening half before Trent came storming back in the second to win on a penalty goal with approximately three minutes remaining on the official's watch for a 17-16 victory.
McMaster controlled the ball in the first half, and was barely called into action in its end of the field. Nathan Pinder picked up the lone try of the match for the home side midway through the half.
The rest of the scoring came courtesy of Cole Brown, who converted the try and added three penalty goals of his own to lead the team with 11 points.
In the second half, the Excalibur controlled much of the play, outscoring McMaster 17-3. Brett Middleton and Emerson Prior each crossed the try line, with Fawad Nasseri converting both tries and adding the winning penalty kick.
