Outside hitter Craig Ireland made a triumphant return to the starting lineup, as the Marauders came away from Peterborough with an uncomplicated win on Saturday.

Ireland had five kills and eight points in his first extended time on court since a preseason injury, and McMaster swept the Trent Excalibur 25-16, 25-13, 25-18 to move to 4-1 on the season.

Assuming his usual role as Mac's leading offensive option, outside Andrew Richards had a match high 9 kills and 11.5 points in the win, committing just two errors and ending the night with a .368 hitting average.

Ireland stood as the team's second most efficient hitter, with a .300 average, and led the team with three aces.

McMaster pressured Trent consistently from the service line Saturday, coming away from the win with 10 aces and 12 errors from the line.

That pressure made itself apparent in the Excalibur's offensive numbers, as the home side hit just .018 and had only 14 kills.
