Men's Basketball: Gilmore Cracks OUA First Team, Boney Named to Second Team

Third-year forward makes his first all-star appearance.

One emerged as a star and team leader in 2016-17, while the other brought a successful end to his Marauder career. Both Connor Gilmore and Rohan Boney were recognized for their exceptional seasons Wednesday, as the OUA announced its men's basketball major awards and all-stars.
 
Breaking through to the OUA First Team in his third season in maroon and grey, Mac's stretch four Gilmore was named as a conference all-star for the first time. He evolved into one of the conference's top scorers this season, posting an average of 19.5 points per game that ranked third in the conference, while averaging nine rebounds per game.
 
Returning to the all-star ranks after a Second Team nod in 2014-15, Boney once again graced the OUA Second Team in his final season as a Marauder. Second to Gilmore with 14.8 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game, Boney excelled when creating for others, with a team-leading average of 4.2 assists per game.
