MEN'S RUGBY: MARAUDERS BLANK VARSITY BLUES

The McMaster men's rugby team travelled to Toronto for a Saturday night clash with the Varsity Blues and came back to Hamilton with a resounding 33-0 victory.

The win keeps the Marauders in second-place in the OUA standings, behind the Guelph Gryphons, who have clinched first.  The top two seeds receive an opening round bye in the playoffs.

Five different Marauders scored trys vs. Toronto, as Will Kelly, Ethan Sanders, Jamie McNaughton, Mitch Salisbury, and Rob Wingrove crossed the touch line, with Kelly adding four converts for a 13-point night and keeping him firmly atop the OUA scoring list.

The final league game for McMaster will be a trip to Guelph on Friday, October 21 for a tough match-up with the first-place Gryphons.  A win by the Marauders would secure second-place and the playoff bye, but a loss could see them slip to third in the standings, which would mean the team will host a quarter-final match against an opponent to be determined.
