A Marauder will be in the mix as the Canadian National Women's Softball Team takes on international competition this summer. McMaster shortstop and pitcher Carey-Leigh Thomas was included in the 17-woman roster announced by Softball Canada on Monday.

Thomas and her Canadian teammates will take part in three competitions in July and August, beginning their international schedule at the General Tire World Cup of Softball in Irvine, California from July 7-13. They move north to British Columbia to host the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship from July 13-21 in Surrey, before concluding their summer at the 15th ISF Women's World Championship, held between August 15 and 24 in Haarlem, Netherlands.
