Nicole Grosel, Athletic Operations Coordinator in McMaster's Department of Athletics and Recreation, was named as McMaster's Volunteer of the Month for the month of May by the University's Engagement and Wellness Team.

Grosel was recognized for her work as a member of the McMaster Employee Spirit Society (MESS), which she has been an active part of since 2012. She was a member of the Entertainment Sub-Committee for the 2013 MESS Day at the Museum, where worked alongside museum staff to develop a program of activities for participants that included a guided tour, hands-on crafts, and a question and answer session. Grosel also displayed her creativity by developing the tagline for the event: "Immerse Yourself in the Arts with MESS!"

The Engagement and Wellness Team recognized Grosel for her enthusiasm for and dedication to the McMaster community, and her continued work on several committees, including the Inspiring From Within Committee.
