MARAUDERS WIN SECOND OF THE SEASON OVER BADGERS

St. Catharines, Ont. - The McMaster men's rugby team took down the Brock Badgers on the road on Saturday afternoon. In a close match, the Marauders would pull off the win by just one point with a score of 26-25.

Cam Stones started off the scoring in just the second minute of the game and Andrew Ferguson would make the convert for the 7-0 lead.

At the five minute mark, it would start a scoring torrent for the Badgers as Zack Lamacraft would score a penalty goal for three points. From there, Ben Harmer and Reece Hummel would score tries for Brock, and Lamacraft would make one of two converts and another penalty goal for a 17-7 lead.

Before the half was over, in the 40th minute, Evan Smith would put some more points on the board for McMaster and Ferguson would make the convert to trail the Badgers by just three going into the second.

Three minutes into the second half, Davor Stojanov scored his first try of the game and Ferguson would make the convert despite the windy conditions to go ahead  21-17. Ferguson would score a try of his own later in the game in the 68th minute.
