Thunder Bay, Ont, - The McMaster men's baketball team dropped their second game of the weekend to the reigning OUA champions in Thunder Bay. Captain Victor Raso scored a team-high 17 points for the Marauders.
The Marauders led after the first quarter 20-13, but in the second is when Lakehead took the reins, scoring 25 to McMaster's 21. The third quarter proved to be McMaster's true downfall as they allowed the Thunderwolves to score a total of 34 points. The game would end 91-71 in favour of the home team for the second straight night.
Joining Raso in double digits included Cam Michaud with 15 and Nathan McCarthy with another 12. Rookie point guard Adam Presutti recorded eight assists.
For Lakehead, Venzal Russell scored an outstanding 28 points in the game. Ryan Thomson had 18 points and Ben Johnson scored another 17 for the Thunderwolves. Yoosrie Salhia was the only player to earn a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Marauders will host the Guelph Gryphons on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at Burridge Gymnasium to look to get back on track.
