Hamilton, Ont. - The McMaster baseball team lost doubleheader games to both the Toronto Varsity Blues and the Waterloo Warriors this weekend.
In their first match-up with the Blues, the Marauders failed to earn the win in a close 2-1 loss. Marauder Colin Campbell (Mississauga, Ont.) was the lone run scorer for McMaster.
Later that afternoon in doubleheader action, the Marauders would fall to the Blues again, with a score of 3-2. Paul Saville (Dundas, Ont.) and Patrick Grier (Guelph, Ont.) earned runs for the Marauders in the losing effort.
On Sunday, McMaster lost to the Waterloo for the first time that day by a score of 13-1. Veteran Grier was the only Marauder to pick up a run in the game.
In the afternoon, the Marauders would have a chance to redeem themselves against the Warriors but would not get revenge as they lost, 7-2. Saville scored his second run of the weekend and Cam Ryerson (Mississauga, Ont.) would pick up a run for the Marauders as well.
The Marauders try to get back on track on September 24 in their next doubleheader against the Western Mustangs.
