Hamilton, Ont. - The McMaster baseball team split the weekend matches over the weekend, earning a 2-2 record at the start of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) 2011 baseball season.
The Marauders battled hard with the Laurier Golden Hawks, but could not pull of the win. Laurier won by a score of 6-2. Later that day, McMaster had another tough loss to the Waterloo Warriors and went scoreless in the 10-0 loss.
On Sunday, the Marauders turned things around and won their first game of the day over the Queen's Gaels by a score of 10-6. Later on, McMaster would earn a hard fought win over the Guelph Gryphons by a tight score of 9-8.
The Marauders take on the Brock Badgers at 7pm on Wednesday.
