The McMaster Department of Athletics & Recreation is happy to announce that The Pita Pit has come on board as the latest department sponsor and also as a member of the McMaster “M” Club.

Located In Westdale Village, close to the McMaster campus, the new agreement will see The Pita Pit provide multi-faceted support to Marauder Athletics for the duration of the 2011-12 varsity season, including sponsorship of the McMaster Athlete of the Week award, providing assistance to the McMaster Athletes Care program in support of community outreach, and sponsoring the 2012 CIS Women’s Volleyball Championship, being hosted at McMaster in March of 2012.

Pita Pit owner Steph Watson commented, “We are proud to fuel McMaster Athletes and support their efforts. It’s a perfect fit - healthy lifestyle and nutrition for top athletes.”

A popular destination for McMaster students, The Pita Pit in Westdale has previously been involved with various McMaster athletic initiatives and events, but this agreement takes the relationship to a new level.
