The McMaster Department of Athletics & Recreation has completed a new agreement with Cogeco and Cable 14 to provide expanded television and live streaming coverage of Marauder Athletics in the greater Hamilton area. The new deal extends coverage through the 2013-14 season.
“There is a standard for university sport broadcasts in Canada. With the partnership between Cogeco, Cable 14 and McMaster we plan to raise that bar,” says Parrish Offer, Manager of Marketing, Communications, and Sponsorship for McMaster Athletics and Recreation.
Cable 14 is now the Local Television Exclusive Partner. Cable 14 will air a special McMaster Football 2012 Preview show on Friday, August 31
st at 2 p.m and replaying at 8 p.m. Friday evening, (also streaming live on
marauders.ca/live on Friday August 31
st at 2pm), and will telecast the season opener live on Monday, September 3
rd at 1 p.m.
"After an incredible season for the McMaster Marauders culminating with a Vanier Cup, we are extremely excited to be back on the air with a full complement of OUA games and we are very proud to be able to provide this service to the cable subscribers in the Hamilton and Haldimand area,” said Cable 14 General Manager Brent Rickert.
Cogeco will be the presenting partner of live streaming that will be available at
marauders.ca/live and will cover all home football, basketball, and volleyball games, while adding select varsity soccer games to the schedule, with television coverage on Cable 14. Full schedules will be available on
Marauders.ca shortly.

The new agreement also includes partner status for Cogeco and Cable 14 with the McMaster Athletes Care program.
The expanded coverage also includes McMaster Athletics being a regular contributor on the Hamilton Life program.
