Hamilton, Ont. - The McMaster men's basketball team hosted collegiate intercity rivals, the Mohawk Mountaineers on Tuesday night at Burridge Gymnasium. Captain Victor Raso (Hamilton, Ont.) had a game high 26 points in the win.

The first quarter saw McMaster take a commanding lead with a score of 27-14, and the Marauders would score another 25 in the second quarter to Mohawk's 15. Going into the second half, McMaster would be up by 23 points with a score of 52-29.

The Marauders would never give up their lead, sailing to the 99-63 win in the second half of the game.

Raso's 26 points were accompanied by seven assists and three steals for the Marauders. Nathan McCarthy (Burlington, Ont.) earned the double double on the night with 12 rebounds and 11 points. Cam Michaud (Grimsby, Ont.) also had double digit numbers in points with 14.

The Marauders host NCAA Division 2 team, Gannon University at 8pm in Burridge Gymnasium in their third pre-season game in preparing for the OUA regular season.
