With the Marauders welcoming two of their fiercest divisional rivals to the Burridge Gym to open the OUA season this past weekend, passing quality was a top priority, and the veteran libero Pereira duly delivered. The fourth-year St. Catharines native passed 57 balls over the course of McMaster’s seven sets played against Western and Windsor, and scored a 2.71 average on the team’s four-point passing scale in the process. He provided a quality pass 60 per cent of the time.

Defensively, Pereira collected 19 digs over the two matches, backstopping the Marauders to 3-1 and 3-0 wins over the Mustangs and Lancers respectively.
