Entering competition at the OUA Championships as the defending champion and the top seed in the 1500m freestyle event, the Mississauga, Ont. native did not disappoint.

Muizelaar delivered the Marauders only gold medal of the three-day meet in St. Catharines by topping the field in his best event, and added a silver medal at 400m for good measure. Combining his strength with that of teammates Mohamad Jrab, Pangiotis Papangelakis and Kevor Baghdassarian, Muizelaar helped Mac to silver in the 4x200m freestyle relay to complete his team’s medal haul.

His efforts led the way as the Marauders finished fourth as a group at the conference championships.
